South Basketball Academy | PR & Connecting Young Players with Basketball Role Models

PR · Influencer Marketing · Photography · Video Production · Image Editing

South Basketball Academy entrusted Digital Sapiens with developing a publicity programme as part of its sporting activities.

The partnership had two objectives. To raise awareness of the academy’s work and give young players opportunities to meet people with extensive experience in basketball, hear their stories and broaden their understanding of the sport.

Bringing the programme onto the court

We built our approach around direct contact between the young players and athletes who could share first-hand experiences from their careers.

Panagiotis Giannakis, Evina Maltsi, Eleanna Christinaki, Vladimir Janković, Dimitris Mavroeidis, Dimos Dikoudis and Ioannis Papapetrou responded to our invitation. The meetings gave the children an opportunity to hear about training, persistence and the work involved in progressing as a basketball player.

Those encounters also shaped the communications. The focus was on the conversations, the questions and the lessons the children could take into their next training session.

What Digital Sapiens did

PR & Publicity Programme

We supported communications for the programme, highlighting the meetings and their connection with the academy’s sporting activities.

Athlete Partnerships & Influencer Marketing

We approached basketball personalities and coordinated their involvement, focusing on the contribution they could make to the young players’ experience.

Photography & Image Editing

We photographed the activities, meetings and interactions on the court, editing the material for the programme’s promotional needs.

Video Production

We produced videos capturing moments and messages from the meetings, giving the academy content through which to share its activities beyond the court.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1775029138292{background-image: url(https://digitalsapiens.gr/new/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Homepage_Clients_Section.jpg?id=380) !important;background-position: center !important;background-repeat: no-repeat !important;background-size: cover !important;}” el_class=”row1″][vc_column][vc_column_text]
